This is an honest review of Branch Basics cleaning products. After you read this post, you’ll be able to answer the questions: Does Branch Basics work? How much does Branch Basics cost? Is Branch Basics worth the money? How does Branch Basics work? Plus many more!
Why do non-toxic cleaning products even matter?
The air quality inside many homes can be two to five times more polluted than the air just outside our homes. Traditional household cleaners play a huge role in this. According to the EPA, many commercial cleaning products contain harsh and synthetic ingredients. Concentrated cleaners can be very hazardous, causing burns, lung damage, or even accidental poisoning (which is a major concern for households with small children and pets). Non-toxic cleaners are just that: NON-TOXIC. You could spritz them on your face or clean your produce with them and have no cause for concern. Non-toxic cleaners, like Branch Basics, are definitely my preference!
How does Branch Basics work?
Branch Basics sells their non-toxic cleaner in a multi-purpose concentrate that can then be added to the bottles they provide you in their starter kit. The bottles are prelabeled and refillable so all you have to do is fill them with water and concentrate and you’re ready to go! You could also purchase their glass bottles or use your own bottles if you prefer.
Here’s a quick infographic straight from Branch Basics on how it works:
See how easy it is? It’s seriously so simple to make your Branch Basics cleaners.
Does Branch Basics work?
The simple answer is yes! Additionally, many ask if Branch Basics is antibacterial and that answer is no. HOWEVER, that doesn’t bother me. Here’s Branch Basics’ reasoning:
In order to make claims of killing or sanitizing or being deemed an “antibacterial” formula, a product must contain a registered EPA pesticide. Because we are unwilling to jeopardize the integrity of our formula’s purity and safety such claims cannot be made. However, Branch Basics Concentrate falls under the CDC’s (Center for Disease Control) statement that the best way to get rid of germs is to wash your hands for 20 seconds with a pure soap or cleaning formula designed for handwashing such as ours. They are even recommending this procedure over a product with an EPA-registered pesticide because of the mounting problem of antibiotic resistance.
Here are the non-toxic ingredients listed on their website: Purified Water, Coco Glucoside (Sugar-Based Cleanser), Chamomilla Recutita (Chamomile) Flower Extract*, Decyl Glucoside (Sugar-Based Cleanser), Sodium Citrate (Food-Grade Emulsifier), Lauryl Glucoside (Sugar-Based Cleanser), Sodium Bicarbonate (Food-Grade Baking Soda), Sodium Phytate (Plant-Based Antioxidant), Sapindus Mukorossi Fruit (Soapberry) Extract*. A * = certified organic. All of these ingredients are non-GMO, and none of the products are tested on animals.

From my experience, I can say that these products definitely work! I use it for cleaning our windows/glass, kitchen, bathrooms, our hands (handsoap), and laundry. I have yet to use it on a severe stain, but I’m confident it works from hearing stories from my friends. Want more information on how to use their products? Click here for their in-depth user guide!
