WHERE? The Marker San Francisco | San Francisco, California

WHY? Extended Weekend Vacation with my husband
ACCOMMODATIONS: 2 Nights in the Urban Suite Room with 2 Nights Valet Parking
SPECIAL THANKS TO: The Marker San Francisco for inviting us and making our stay delightful!
2 NIGHTS IN UNION SQUARE, SAN FRANCISCO:
We went back! The first time we traveled to San Francisco was in 2016. (You can read more about that trip here, here, and here!) We fell in love with the city and the beauty of California’s landscape. This year, we had the opportunity to stay at a family friend’s estate in Sausalito, CA on the San Francisco Bay for 3 nights (one of the most beautiful views I’ve seen! I’ll share some photos in my next SF post!) and opted to stay 2 more nights in the heart of San Francisco at The Marker Hotel!
CHECKING INTO THE MARKER SAN FRANCISCO / ACCOMMODATIONS:
After 3 nights staying at our family friend’s estate on the San Francisco Bay, we loaded our luggage into our gorgeous Audi A5 Cabriolet (learn more about Silvercar by Audi) and headed to The Marker San Francisco. A mere 30 minutes later, we arrived! When they say it’s steps away from Union Square, they aren’t kidding! The outside of the hotel is gorgeous! Very French-inspired. Immediately I noticed Tratto, their on-site restaurant which was definitely on my list of places to visit during the last two days of our trip. Inside, the lobby did not disappoint. I nearly felt like we walked into a scene of “Alice and Wonderland!” It is very elegant, quirky, and bold — all swirling together for an extremely fun ambiance.
Some of their amenities include:
- Free wi-fi
- Free coffee & tea
- Free wine reception
- Pet-Friendly accommodations
- 24-hour fitness center
- Yoga mats delivered to your room (available upon request)
- Laundry & dry cleaning services
- Valet parking available
- Free bicycle rentals
- Tratto Restaurant and Bar
I love the adorable fireplace and bookshelves in the lobby sitting area.
Marble for days!!! So so so pretty! Yes, Kevin and I walked down the staircase and YES we did feel like royalty. 😛
This pretty room is called “The Study” and hosts complimentary coffee and tea from 5:30am – 10am daily and social hour with complimentary wine Monday through Friday 5pm – 6pm.
Such cute design elements in this hotel! I love that Tratto (see more below) is attached to the lobby!
Hot pink and black marble in the elevator! Love it!
How adorable is this room? I love the jewel-toned decor!
The blue in this room was just stunning!
Such cute touches on this comfy bed!
The sitting area was perfect! They even provided us with wine, bottled water, and chocolate truffles! 🙂
I love the mix of all the different patterns!
Even the bathroom continued with the unique, French-inspired theme!
As you can tell by the photos, everything was impeccably clean and extremely comfortable. We loved the unique decor and little details that The Marker put into the room!
TRATTO RESTAURANT AND BAR AT THE MARKER
Tratto is the restaurant connected to the lobby of The Marker. The atmosphere is casual, yet refined. We loved the leather-like touches, geometric floors, and custom San Francisco city artwork on the walls. The menu appeals to all different types of tastes but mostly caters to the Italian food lover.
- (Starter) Herb bread and dipping oil
- (Appetizer) Bruschetta, burrata, oven-dried tomato, upland cress, pea sprouts, agrumato oil
- (Kevin’s Main Dish) Duck confit, celery root Tortellini, cauliflower, fried brussels sprouts, sage
- (My Main Dish) Wild arugula, shaved fennel, watermelon radish, parmesan, lemon vinaigrette
I wanted to take a picture of the bruschetta but we ate it so quickly, by the time I remembered, it was gone! lol. Everything was so delicious! We highly recommend visiting!
PARKING AT THE MARKER SAN FRANCISCO:
During our stay, we also partnered with Silvercar by Audi to review their car service (stay tuned for a more detailed post!). Of course, we didn’t just want to leave our car parked out on the street so we used The Marker’s valet service for two evenings. They were extremely speedy! You simply park in front of the hotel and hand your keys to the concierge! And when you want to pick up your car, you can either call ahead or show your valet slip to the concierge and they will retrieve it immediately. We never waited longer than 5 minutes for our car! It was such a great service!
The Marker San Francisco is about a 5-minute walk away from the center of Union Square and only 10-minutes from Chinatown! It just so happens to also be only 5-minutes from one of my favorite stores: Cuyana!
Of course, we stopped at Cuyana and picked up a beautiful monogrammed tote bag!
Neiman Marcus was also a quick walk away and was simply stunning!
Union Square has the most beautiful fluffy palm trees!
Such beautiful streets full of shops and restaurants! All within walking distance from The Marker Hotel!
Our stay was truly wonderful and we definitely didn’t want to leave. The Marker San Francisco has beautiful accommodations and such friendly staff! We’ve already been recommending this hotel to our friends and family that are looking for their next adventure!
Perfect for: Couples, families with pre-teen and teenage children, business travel.
Hope you enjoyed this review!
