Today ends my 10 day vacation! It was so great being able to enjoy 1/3 of the month being non-scheduled for things. My life has been so busy lately that is was great to slow down! Now, I can’t say I completely slowed down… I went shopping, hung out with family and friends, completed some DIY projects around our home, organized my master and home office closets, listed clothing and other items for sale on eBay, went to my cousins’ birthday party, cruised around in my new Jeep, spent some quality time with my husband and puppy, and of course, celebrated my birthday (on September 10th)! =)
Every year around my birthday, I feel really motivated to improve my life in some way. This year, I have chosen to become more fit. My goal isn’t to lose weight, it’s to eat healthier for my body and make a point to work out more than I currently do. An additional part of my plan is to make my lunches from our previous night’s leftovers. We eat really healthy at dinner, but for lunches, I typically grab a fresh salad at the cafe. While it’s definitely healthy, it’s quite boring. Bringing leftovers like grilled salmon and garlic broccoli, slow cooked beef with carrots and onions, chicken kabobs, etc. will definitely liven up my lunches! I’m really looking forward to this!! =)
So today, my motivation Monday is: “A fit, healthy body – that is the best fashion statement.”
This week, I urge you all to take the stairs, park a little farther away, or bring a healthy snack or lunch to work! It will only help ourselves feel happier and healthier!

We have been trying our hardest to work out as often & best we can because we really want to be in shape for Cancun this December…it’s a struggle because it’s either too hot or raining since we are in monsoon season still here and the motivation is lacking. I know a healthy fit body is great and all, but I’d rather have a beer after work or a glass of wine…AKA not helping my case here. Thanks for the motivation! xx, adaatude.com

Hubby and I are currently discussing healthier choices in our daily living. He wants to walk outdoors. I want to do workouts inside. So far we’ve went walking once.
