One year ago, on May 11th, I got married to the love of my life!! What can I say; its been an amazing year. We truly focused on our relationship and our future together! We’ve traveled to different states/countries and made some really big decisions: bought a home (last month) & put a deposit down to take our future puppy home (this upcoming August!). Above all, we really savored the simple things: lazy Sundays, making dinner together & trying new recipes, taking walks/runs together, being genuinely excited to see each other after work & giving the “Honey, I’m home.” kiss, and syncing our schedules to spend the most time together as possible.
I’ve heard that the first year of marriage can be really tough, trying to make the adjustment of living with someone and getting to know their habits – but not for us! We have mutual admiration and respect for one another and have yet to have a fight. Being complete opposites, we complete each other in every way & mesh extremely well! My husband is truly my other half and I am thrilled to be to spending forever with him! It may sound mushy, but it’s so true! =)
In celebration of our anniversary, I’ll be sharing details of our wedding this week! I’ll break the posts down into different categories that work well together and I’ll end with a post sharing our wedding video!! =) The colors we chose for our wedding were silver/gray, blush, and white. We wanted a very soft, elegant feel for our special day and I think we did a great job accomplishing it! It was truly our dream wedding!!
To start off, here’s a few pictures of us!
Photo Details:
- In front of the Milwaukee Art Museum, Quadracci Pavilion.
- I’m so thankful that I decided to wear a beautiful pearl & tulle floor-length veil! (And my mom did an amazing job hand-making it! Click here to view her Etsy store!)
- In the stairwell of the Mackie Building (The Grain Exchange), Milwaukee.
- On the Milwaukee Art Museum bridge taking our “photo walk” pictures with our wedding party.
It’s so fun reminiscing about our wedding day! More pictures to come in this week’s posts!
