Ever since I was little, my favorite Disney movie was “Beauty and the Beast.” I just couldn’t get enough of it! I’m sure my parents can attest to the fact that I could watch it over and over and over again. It was just magical.
I could definitely relate to Belle with her love for books and her adventurous spirit. And then when she happened upon the Beast’s castle…oh my! The gorgeous architecture, amazing library, fabulous ballroom (yes, I appreciated that stuff when I was little & still do :P) and the enchanted household items were so exciting! And although she goes through many trials before the end of the story, Belle ultimately breaks the spell and shows how much she loves the Beast. She looked past his scary exterior and fell in love with his kind personality & demeanor. It reminds you to “never judge a book by it’s cover” and “love can conquer all.” =)
When I found out that there was a Beauty and the Beast restaurant, I probably got more excited than a 20-something should have. lol. I’m pretty sure my eyes widened as I loudly proclaimed, “Kevin, we could have dinner in the Beast’s castle!!!” Since he knows & supports my infatuation with Beauty and the Beast (our wedding reception was inspired by the ballroom – click here to see), he instantly asked what time we should make the reservation for!
The evening finally came and we walked to the farthest point of the Magic Kingdom to have dinner at the Beast’s castle. The outside looks just as I would imagine it to look!! After the Beast summoned us inside, we walked into the enchanted castle and took a quick tour then sat in our seats. The ballroom was stunning. I was giddy. I felt like a little girl.
{ The ballroom looked exactly like the movie. They even had mountains in the background with falling snow!!}
{ The dinner was amazing! I had a salad, french onion soup, and pan-seared chicken breast. We even got to try “The Grey Stuff” It’s delicious, by the way! 😉 }
{ After dinner in the ballroom, we explored the West Wing. We found the enchanted rose & the Beast’s mirror. The room would light up with lightning and a petal would fall from the rose. Could this place get any cooler?! We then went into the Beast’s den and took a photo with him. After that we walked down the hall and listened to the “Knights Armor” talk with each other and comment about us. I didn’t want to leave. It was really magical. Disney did an amazing job replicating the enchanted castle!! }
Take a look at a more in depth tour of the “Be Our Guest” restaurant. Next time you visit the Magic Kingdom, this place is a MUST! Seriously!
I’ve linked up with some amazing ladies this week! Make sure to check them out!
