ACCOMMODATIONS: 7-Night Stay in the Ocean View Junior Suite
SPECIAL THANKS TO: Eden Roc for inviting us and ensuring our stay was lovely!
7 NIGHTS IN MIAMI BEACH!
Even before I met Kevin, Florida was the number place for my family’s trips. I’ve been to Orlando (yay Disney!), Naples, Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Bonita Springs, Marco Island, The Everglades, St. Petersburg, and beyond! But surprisingly, we haven’t really ventured to the Atlantic Ocean side of Florida or even to the Florida Keys. When it came time to pick a vacation destination, both Kevin and I wanted the Caribbean feel and chose Miami Beach and the Florida Keys!
CHECKING IN TO EDEN ROC MIAMI BEACH / ACCOMMODATIONS
Arriving midday on Saturday, we were amidst a short line of guests checking in. After being greeted by the concierge, we were immediately taken to our suite! It was wonderful that they accommodated the early check-in due to our morning flight!
DETAILS OF THE OCEAN VIEW JUNIOR SUITE
Our room was quite spacious with a great view of the pools and oceanfront. After entering the room you could see the beautiful Miami inspired artwork above the beds, providing just the right amount of exotic color to get one into the spirit of South Florida. Adjacent to the beds is the awe-inspiring master suite bathroom. A rain shower paired with a jacuzzi tub is enough to remind you that, yes, you are on vacation and ready to enjoy all Miami has to offer. Make your way to the large balcony, with plenty of room to enjoy the beautiful view while relaxing and soaking in those warm sun rays. It was truly amazing to see and experience a room right on Miami beach with so much space in the room.
We opted for the 2 Queen room since it had more space than the King room!
Our view was lovely! Looking out our bed in the morning, we could see and hear the ocean waves!
The bed was super comfortable and the sheets were always clean! The turndown service was also amazing!
You could take a shower / luxurious bath and watch the ocean waves!
The bathroom was very modern and functional. I absolutely loved the large, double sink! I told Kevin I want one in our home! lol
Showers and baths in this luxurious suite were so relaxing! Again, being able to view the ocean was simply stunning!
Eden Roc even provides multiple types of C.O. Bigelow products which smell amazing and are more natural than typical bath and body goods! And as an added bonus, they provided a really nice hairdryer AND hair straightener!
THE VIEW
From our balcony, we could see 2 pools and the most gorgeous view of the ocean. Don’t you just love the aqua water and palm trees?!
RESTAURANTS
After a long day in the sun, the sound of something fresh, organic, and local sounds so amazing, and that is exactly what you get at their beachfront, ocean view restaurant – Malibu Farm. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, or afternoon snack, there is something delicious to be found and enjoyed. My personal favorite was the “Grilled Chicken Sandwich” with the fresh salad. It included fresh tomato, lettuce, ricotta cheese, and onions. It was so crisp and fresh, and somehow it was exactly what I was craving almost every day! Kevin tried a few different options but really enjoyed the zucchini crust pizza – who knew pizza could be delicious and actually leave you feeling healthy afterward!
Experiencing the Room Service dining was also delightful. Choosing to enjoy a meal in the luxury of your own room was perfect for those lunches or dinners where you just didn’t feel like getting ready to go out at that exact moment!
In addition to the many casual dining restaurants on the grounds, Eden Roc boasts Nobu Miami which is an upscale Japanese-Fusion style restaurant. Although it’s on the pricier side, you are sure to find something for everyone’s unique taste in your group! The place was always extremely busy whenever we walked by! We’ve heard that even locals travel long distances to dine at Nobu!
In the summer time, I also heard they offer all-inclusive packages! Talk about an amazing deal!
THE RESORT GROUNDS
Walking through Eden Roc’s grounds, I was honestly surprised at how much it had to offer! There are three pools, multiple restaurants/bars, and ample space to sit/lay by a pool, on the patio, or on the beach! One of our favorite places to stroll was on the boardwalk parallel to the ocean. It spans from the public beach to the end of the hotel zone. It was a wonderful place to take a stroll at any time of day!
LOCATION / WHAT TO DO IN THE AREA
What isn’t there to do in Miami & Miami Beach?! This city is full of places to see and activities to be had. We were lucky enough to have a Mustang convertible for the majority of our trip, so we took advantage of our mobility and traveled to multiple areas of interest!
- South Beach
- Ocean Drive – see the Versace Mansion & have your pick of hundreds of restaurants and bars
- Key Biscayne
- This Key is extremely close to Miami Beach! It’s great to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy a non-crowded beach! (We got some AMAZING drone pics on Key Biscayne!)
- Wynwood & Miami Design District
- View the unique graffiti art on buildings, tour some art shows, and grab some amazing food!
- Bal Harbour
- View the gorgeous homes and shop in luxurious malls!
- The Florida Keys
- Drive from Miami through the Keys and make it to the Southernmost Point in the Contiguous USA in Key West, Flordia!
- Have some key lime pie in Key West!
- See the beauty of every key and relax in the gorgeous Caribbean breeze!
- Of course, there is always waterskiing, jetskiing, boating, swimming, relaxing on the beach, relaxing by the pool, exploring the area via walking or car, etc.!
THE VERDICT
Miami was definitely a must-see! And Eden Roc was an amazing place to stay while experiencing all the amazing sites and activities of Southeast Florida! From the amazing grounds with three pools, farm-fresh restaurants, to the gorgeous ocean views from your spacious room, Eden Roc comes highly recommended by Kevin and me!
Perfect for: Couples, groups of friends, families with older children, business group/conference travel
