{such a dream kitchen!}
{bonus! here’s the view of the family room/kitchen when you are in our foyer}
We are almost completely finished with gutting our entire home!! The kitchen and bathrooms are the most dramatically changed rooms in our home!. If you missed the bathroom posts they are here and here.
For our kitchen renovation, we removed the flooring, took out the cabinets, half wall, soffits (above the cabinets), removed the sink, installed a new, smaller window that would fit the new sink underneath (thanks Dad!), purchased new flooring, cabinets, drawer knobs and cabinet pulls, faucets, quartz countertops (“Cortina” by Viatera!), stainless steel GE appliances, white molding, ceiling lighting, island lighting, etc.
We only have a few minor details left, including installing the white subway tile backsplash, the white backing to the island, and the bamboo window blind. Other than that, the kitchen is finished! It was so hard not having a kitchen for about 3 lonnnnnnnnng months! Using the bathroom sinks and basement sink for cleaning dishes became daunting. Thankfully, we also added a dishwasher in our plans! The original owners never had one! How did they ever manage? 😛
My husband and I LOVE our new kitchen. It was truly amazing to see our vision come to life. I’m a very lucky lady to have a husband who see’s my plans and runs with them! And we are tremendously blessed to have the family that we do. They were undeniably the hardest workers on this project!
Hope you enjoyed another little peek into our home!
